Viola Bible - The Daily Technique Manual I call it the Viola Bible.... Being southern born, raised in the Bible Belt, I'm used to people carrying around their bibles and doing their daily readings. This is my version for viola- something that is small enough to carry around with you that you do a daily reading from. You can chose your "scriptures" and jump around for the daily applicable "verse." In other words, if that day you need warm up, have been shifting stiffly, and know that you have to play Walton in a couple of weeks, you can jump around through the warm up, the facility excercizes, do some shifting, and end up with the 6ths. You can also use the bible to keep yourself always on the top of the game. The book is both for those who need to establish a basic routine (those in-process students who have yet to set up a regular set of exercizes), and those who have a mastery of technique and who just need to have all of their maintenance routines in one handy book. The following is table from which I chose the exercizes to include in my book. Timings are useful for those that are maintaining, and should be increased (but stricktly adhered to) by those that are not at advanced level.
