Undergraduate 4 Year Curriculum
The Undergraduate Viola Curriculum will involve all or most of the following:
Private Lessons
Studio Class Weekly
String Divisional Classes (monthly or by semester)
Honors Recital (yearly division-wide)
Excerpt Class for upperclassmen
Moch Audition (jury for Excerpt Class)
Chamber Music each semester with recital each semester
Orchestra - every semester enrolled in private lessons
Juries - each semester not performing a Degree Recital
Secondary Instruments
Recital- Junior and Senior Year for Music Majors, Senior for Education Majors
Mandatory String Concert Attendance of faculty, guests, and peers
Repertoire and Technique Guide:
Concerti, Bach, Scales, and Arpeggios are to be from memory
- this is merely a partial list/outline to use as a reference; curriculum for the individual student is based upon prior experience and potential
